Exercise your Rights! Stand up for yourself. You pay your insurance company & your medical professionals, so don’t let them brush off your issues or concerns. You have a right to be a part of the decisions for your health. You have a right to get a second opinion. You have a right to file a complaint against bad services rendered towards you. Don’t let just anyone come into your room, speak gibberish to you & leave out. They have a right to make sure you understand everything they tell you. You have a right to understand your medical issues and concerns before they leave you. If you expect bad news, or you just don’t know what they are saying, take a trusted family member or friend with you to your appointment.
