Who Are You?

From birth until you are maybe a pre-teen you are who your parents molded you to be. Starting around the ages of 11 and 12 you start to grow into your own person. Still holding on to those teachings of your parents or guardians, you also start to learn more about life and the type of person you want to be. So that still leaves the question of, do you know who you truly are? Fast forward to college and you learned even more new things about yourself. So you adopted some more new ways and let go of old ways. When life after college hit, you started to learn more new things as an adult that would either help or hinder your new stage of life. Then that dreadful day comes where you don't really realize who you are or who you want to be. You've been who your parents raised you to be, who your friends want you to be, and who your job determines you need to be to accurately perform the duties for your title. Lastly, who your significant other would like for you to be so your relation...

Call His Name

Her eyes sparkled but the tears didn't fall Forever grateful because His love never failed me at all No matter where I am His name I can call I know He'll always be there when I fall He's buried deep down in my heart He's carried me a mighty long way So forever you'll see my gratefulness in my eyes, heart, and tumbling from my mouth Because He promised to never leave nor forsake me KLow Original

Birthday 31 - Cruise

Birthday 31 started off fabulous because God allowed me to see a new day in my right mind with the activity of my limbs. I'm blessed beyond measure to be able to spend it with the people I love and the ones who love me back. My big sister and I celebrated it with our first cruise to the Bahamas. Neither of us had ever been to the Bahamas. We made some great new friendships on and off the ship. It's funny how the world is separated by 6 degrees. I met so many people from GA, FL, TN, and AL along with people from up north and other countries. We were all one big family thousands of miles from shore. Sometimes I ask God how am I so blessed but I thank Him for the people He has placed in my life whether for a reason or a season. I can never repay my sister for always being there and supporting me in all of my endeavors. She gives selflessly of her time and everything she does is done with love. I'm blessed to have met her back in 2006. I pray that I am half of a good sister t...

Your Purpose Stands Regardless of your Past

This was the title of one of my latest biblical devotional and it kept floating around in my head. I felt this was what my next blog should be about since I hadn't written a post in a few months. No matter how bad, or how many times you mess up God forgives you. You have to forgive yourself and let it go. He is not malicious, nor does He play tricks. He stands on His word and the promises He gave you. He will never leave your side, so let go of your mistakes, troubled past, and bad times and stand firm knowing that God got you. He created you for a purpose no matter what you've done along the road to get there. His love, grace, & mercy will not change because of your actions. He’s the same God forever more. Leave your past in the past and make the most of your future. Start fresh today because He gave you new mercies this morning. Remember I LOVE YOU!!!

All you need is a little Motivation!!!

Free Yourself

You will never live your life to the fullest trying to make other people happy. At some point in time you have to stop and and evaluate who you are living for, God already knows everything about you. He created you from head to toe, so while you are on this Earth, make you happy. Through my recent trials and tribulations, I've come to realize that if I don't live for Kennedi I end up miserable and regretting my life. I don't know about you, but I don't want to die with a list of what if's. In 2017, I started making it a point to make me happy first. Nobody has to like my choices or decisions but me. I don't have a husband or kids that they will affect, so I live my life by my rules. Most people that know me know I'm a grandma's girl to the fullest, and for those who know my grandmother know she is a devout Christian. So when I do certain things such as getting my tongue pierced I had a friend ask what will your grandma say? I said she's...

We Can No Longer Be Silent

Almost a year ago I remember being fussed at by an elder in my family for things my other family members were posting on their social media accounts. For one, it stunned me because this elder doesn't even have not one social media account and tells people often they don't want one. People are always telling them what's happening on social media. For two, I had to remind said elder that these people were grown and could post whatever they wanted on their social media accounts because it was their accounts. As I was having a conversation with a friend she stated how she had told her significant other not to post their future kid(s) on social media. I relayed the conversation I had earlier with my elderly family member to her, and she replied they are old school and you know they don't believe in telling people your personal business. This brings me to the point of this blog, and like I told her that's the problem we have now in our society, too many people are s...
