KINKY

Recently I went to see the movie Kinky with actors Vivica A. Fox, Robert Richard, Dawn Richard, Gary Dourdan, and more. Let's talk about the elephant in the room. Most women don't know what they want in the bedroom or they are afraid to ask for what they want for fear of being labeled a hoe or freak. So, we end up sexually frustrated on top of everything else going on in our daily lives. If we can take charge in the OR room, courtroom, and classrooms we can take charge in OUR BEDROOMS. No one deserves to leave the bed unfulfilled. It's okay to watch porn or buy some toys to help spice up things to help get you to the finish line. We as women also must get out of our heads. Sex for us is tied to our emotions. Whether you want to accept it or not we are emotional beings. If he has pissed you off or you are angry at your partner that orgasm is going to be even harder to reach. Fix the internal issues before trying to change the sexual issues. There is sex therapist avail...

You aren't meant to be alone

God created Eve to help Adam. We were created to coexist with each other. I never understood why people say they are just going to be alone. God wanted us to procreate and multiply. It's mainly because of the experiences that males or females have been through to make them say that, but deep down I don't believe they truly want to be alone. Yes, we may all have times where we don't want to be bothered but we are meant to love and break bread with one another. You must fix your personal issues and deal with your past before you can give yourself entirely to someone else. If you are already married or in a long-term relationship, be open to fixing problems that arise during your relationship. Deal with that abuse, molestation, or abandonment and this goes for males and females. Yes males y'all have feelings you need to deal with also. We don't expect y'all to carry the world on your shoulders. We are here to help. If you can't give your all to the one you ...

Trying Times

There have been plenty of days when I prayed and cried. I just felt like I wasn't going to see the end of the tunnel any time soon. The Lord has brought me out of plenty of dark times, so I know He can and I know He will. It's just the part about keeping the faith and trusting and believing He won't ever fail you. Waiting can be hard and if you are like me you have very little patience. Believe me there were plenty of times when I had to just stop and call on the name of Jesus because I felt like I was one breath away from being committed into a mental institution. It's something about the name of Jesus and when you call on Him, He will make everything alright. If it's truly worth having or if the Lord says it's for you, endure the storm and pain a little while longer. The sun will shine so much brighter once you come out of the rain. PRAY during those dark hard lonely nights. When you feel like a fish out of water PRAY! Cry, scream, and shout if you must ...

Blend In

It takes a village to raise a child. Nowadays we as black people are in competition with each other too much to help each other out. There isn't much reaching back and bringing up our fellow brothers/sisters and too many don't want people to take their spotlight. Oh, what we could all learn from each other if we just work together. There is strength in numbers and until we realize it, we won't prosper as our ancestors fought for us to. During slavery our people had so little, but they had their faith, songs, and each other. How many of you can truly say you have a solid support system to boost you up or pray with you when times get hard? Every time I've leveled up, I always told the people I was leaving behind if there is a position or stepping stone for you where I am going I will be sure to let you know. I don't mind sharing recruiters or resources I want us all to WIN. This leads me to my point of this blog blended families. Everyone I know with a blended f...

Communication is Key

I'm not very good at communicating my feelings. It has messed me up a time or two in my life. When I go to my therapy sessions all I do is talk and cry, nose running and everything. I don't know if it was the personality of my previous therapist and the warm friendly personality of my current therapist, but they really got me to open up to them. I feel like my current therapist is really trying to help me with my life and the issues that led me to therapy. I'm learning more about myself and how to deal with the negative things life throws my way. Every day is not going to be sunny and I'm learning to live in the moment. Parents you need to learn how to communicate with your children and not just talk at them, listen to what they are saying verbally and physically. In black households you get that " what I say goes, I'm the mama you're the child" so kids tend to hide their feelings inside which can later affect them during the rest of their life. ...

Heaven Waits for Me

He prepared a place for me in the presence of my enemies His voice leads and guides me along the path of righteousness His name I can always call In His time, He answers my prayers I'm never lost or alone For He walks with me constantly So when this body gets tired and my time comes to an end He'll open His arms and welcome me in A sweet, sweet place where there is no hurt, no violence nor harm Where I'll walk the streets paved in gold And this old body I'll leave For my soul will fly in the sky Where Heaven waits for me KLow Original

For Those Girls Who Considered Suicide When The Pain Was Too Much

The world didn't seem cheery enough They tainted your sweet name They shared and reposted your deepest pain So one day you decided enough was enough And you were going to take your pain away Only to be taken away from those who believed in you From those fighting and standing beside you From those who loved you no matter what others had to say But you couldn't handle it and the demons got their way This is for those girls who committed suicide when the pain was too much KLow Original
